Editorial policy
Our standards for sources, recommendations, testing claims, corrections and referral links.

Our articles should help you decide what to buy, what to try and what to skip. That means naming the restrictions that could change your decision, even when they make a service harder to recommend.
We use primary sources for plan conditions and technical requirements. We link important claims to those sources, identify the country where a price applies, and keep unknown details out of price tables. We date actual fact checks; changing punctuation doesn't count as fresh research.
Recommendations explain their reasoning. We don't claim personal experience, test results or professional credentials we don't have. Research tools may help with drafting and organisation, but they don't count as evidence. Illustrations are kept separate from screenshots and test records.
When a factual error is confirmed, the article should be corrected with a note explaining any change that affects the buying advice. Substantial new research gets a new fact-check date. A page that no longer supports its recommendation should be revised or withdrawn.
Referral income must not determine the order of recommendations. Any commercial relationship relevant to an article should be disclosed where readers can see it. Read the link disclosure for the current position.
